One memory I have of Gailen is when I first met him at McKee Medical Center where I volunteered at the registration desk. I already knew who he was. I told him my name was Claudette. Shortly after that, he played the song, "Claudette" on the air. He said, "This is for Claudette in Loveland" and did that several times since.Another memory is when the show was celebrating their 4th anniversary on the air. The Breakfast Club in Ft. Collins was offering 94 cent pancakes & Gailen said he and Sue would be there after the show. I decided to go and figured here would be a display advertising the station. When I got there, there was nothing set up. I sat down at a booth and ordered. Then 2 people came in and just sat at a booth in front of me. It turned out to be Gailen and Sue - no fanfare. We chatted across booths.Lastly, I live in a 1 year old senior housing Coop at 43rd & Taft in Loveland, Whenever I drive south on Taft now, past 29th St., I look to the right, across from Lake Loveland, and see the sign "Plenty Wellness" and think of Gailen.God's blessings to his family.

Uncle Gay, there are a few memories that I can recall. The one that most calls out to me is the time that you, Papa, and I were in the family room at the GreenBush residence. I was sitting on Grandpas lap, whilst you were sitting on the opposite side of the couch. We were watching golf. I was so young and never understood anything back then. You both started laughing harder than I could imagine, so then I followed the laughter. Unbeknownst to me the biggest player back then made a massive mistake. Oops, Grandpa and Uncle Gay caught that! There were so many laughs and big bellied chuckles! Know that I love and miss you both so much, sending my love to you always and forever. My life couldnt have been more love filled without you Uncle Gay. Until we meet again, my love for you will never thin.

I never personally knew this kind soul, but I enjoyed him every single time he was on the radio! I talked to him a few times as sometimes my reception wasnt good. He would always tell me what was going on and so good to help me out! I have missed hearing his voice so much! May God be with all his family as well as devoted listeners, and bless each one with a peace that passes all understanding!

I grew up with little Gailen and after highschool we lost touch for a couple years. When Gailen called me out of the blue and invited me to Aspen to see the house him and his dad shared I was in a very bad place in my life. I met them at the grocery store in Basalt and while I followed them to their house big G made up his mind that I was moving in with them. I can't say I resisted to strongly but regardless Padre wasn't going to take no for an answer. He saved my life and showed me the kindness and love only a dad can give and he will always be my inspiration for how to be a father. Thanks for letting me borrow your dad for a while Gailen. His impact on my life was more than I have words to describe.

It is sad for all of us and we pray God's comforting peace for all who are heart broken over Gailens passing. My daughter and I met Gailen when he worked at Q103 in Denver. We have been in touch off and on ever since. The world is short one amazing man.
