We lost our dad this week, and my mom lost her husband of 67 years. How do you describe a man who was larger than life? He could do anything – he was an artist, a wood turner, a realtor, a fishing lure manufacturer, an entrepreneur, and a seed salesman (back in the day); he could remember every joke he’d ever heard and plan amazing traveling adventures. He was everything –a faithful husband, a generous and loving father and grandfather, a fun-loving and adventurous friend. He loved his family, fishing and traveling the world. He was our dad, and even though we can’t believe he’s gone, he’ll always be with us: in the sculptures and artwork in our homes, in the laughs that bubble up when we remember a story, in our hearts forever.
