Obituary of Jeanette Werner
Jeanette Werner, 92, of Wellington died on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Wellington in the comfort of her family. Jeanette was born January 15, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois to Arthur and Laura Holtman. She married Otto Werner on July 26, 1952. In 1955 the Werners moved to Holyoke, Colorado and to Fort Collins in 1961 where her husband became the Director of Bands at Colorado State University. Jeanette made a career at the First National Bank in Fort Collins as well as being a devoted mother to her two daughters, Barb and Pam. She loved working in her yard, spending time at the family cabin, and boating with her family. In addition, she spent many hours baking with her grandchildren as well as her great-grandchildren, watching them play football, soccer, attending swim meets and watching them in horse competitions. In addition, she spent much of her time traveling with all of them. Jeanette had a strong Christian faith and was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Otto Werner, her parents and son-in-law Michael Blue. Survivors include daughters Barbara (Gino) Panepinto of Wellington, and Pamela (Nelson) Sanderson of Chicago, Illinois, 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Corvallis, Montana.
